Note from the Principal

Beginning Monday, December 7th, all AISD schools will re-open for on campus, in-person learning. Bailey teachers and staff will be on duty and ready to receive students. Our A/B calendar and our regular bell schedule remain the same. Buses will be running on their regular schedule. Please remember to have your Covid Screener "Green Screens" ready as you arrive to school. We will be following the same safety procedures before allowing anyone into the building.

Parents - it is critical that you keep an eye on the health of your child(ren). No one should be coming to school if they are feeling sick or running a temperature over 100 degrees. Keep them home. Take them to your doctor or to a clinic, if indicated. Now is not the time to give them Tylenol and send them to school because "their fever came down." Please DO NOT do that. A sick child, with fever reduced by medicine, might make it past our safety screening, but they are still sick. They could infect others, and that is not what any of us want. Please practice extreme caution in these next few weeks and months. Covid 19 can spread easily in a community, but it can also be held at bay...BY the community.

Current data indicates that nearly all positive cases of Covid 19 in AISD schools so far have been traced back to exposure from outside the schools. We can keep it that way if we all remain vigilant. AISD now provides access to Covid 19 tests in limited supplies at the schools. They are limited to students and staff who are "attending classes in person on campus" only. If your child is attending classes on campus regularly and they are showing symptoms, you may be eligible for a test. Please call the Bailey Nurse, Ms. Grossman, at (512) 414-5413.

Bailey Middle School Athletice Department will be holding 7th grade boys' basketball tryouts: Tuesday, 12/8 (small gym) Friday, 12/11 (large gym) Tuesday, 12/15 (large gym) 6:15 a.m. - 7:45 a.m. each day
