Bailey Bear Happenings - May 21st Edition

Week of May 17-21, 2021

8th Grade Summer School at Bailey

If your child has failed two or more content classes during the 2020-2021 school year and is at risk of not meeting level completion standards by the end of the school year, Bailey will be offering a summer program for students to recove any credits or resolve any imcomplete grades from the current school year. Completing the work in this program will ensure that your child receives the important concepts from 8th grade Reading and Math before they move on to high school.

Immunization Information for the 2021-2022 School Year

Dear Bailey Middle School parent/guardian,

For students entering 7th grade for school year 2021-2022, they will need to have the Meningitis B vaccine and a booster T-dap vaccine. A copy of their immunization will need to be provided to the Health Room by August 17, 2021 to start school in the fall.

You can email the updated immunization record to teri.grossman@austinisd.org or fax to 512-414-5434. Thank you for your help.

Bailey Tours for Rising 7th Graders

Dear Current 6th Grade Parents,

We would like to offer your student the opportunity to tour Bailey Middle School prior to the 2021-2022 school year. Due to the cancellation of the 2020 Transition Camp and remote learning, many of the current 6th graders (rising 7th graders) are unfamiliar with the campus. Not all topics covered at Transition Camp are relevant to rising 7th graders, however, they may benefit from a tour of the campus. Tours will be offered Friday, August 6th. Follow the link below to register for a time slot.

Please note: Bailey will be adhering to current Austin ISD COVID 19 safety protocols which include: filling out the Covid 19 Screener App (Green Screen), taking temperatures at the door, wearing masks at all times, and remaining 6 feet apart, whenever possible.
