Principal's Update

Parents,

Back-To-School-Night

Remember that our BTSN event will be different this year. In order to maintain safety protocols whenever possible, we have changed the look of our traditional BTSN format to reduce the size of any crowds at the campus. Our Back-To-School "Open House" is scheduled for this Wednesday, Sept.8th, starting at 6:00PM.

First, our teachers have made short video presentations welcoming you to their classrooms. They are available on every teacher's BLEND page. The videos will have the same information you would receive in person, so there is no need for you to come to campus. The videos are designed to give you the information you need to start the year and they are available for viewing now.

However, if you are "New-To-Bailey" parents and haven't had a chance to come by the campus yet, we have scheduled a Bailey Open House so you can come by and tour the campus. Teachers will be available in their classrooms so you can meet them and chat for a minute. Remember, the Open House is entirely optional.

The following schedule is divided alphabetically by Student Last Name, starting at the end of the alphabet for a change...

Student Last names:

S - Z 6:00 - 6:30 PM

M - R 6:30 - 7:00PM

G - L 7:00 - 7:30PM

A - F 7:30 - 8:00PM

Self-Screening before school

It is important that all families do your best at screening your children for health issues before they arrive at school. Any children exhibiting any of the symptoms of Covid-19 should be kept at home and should be tested ASAP. Please DO NOT send a sick child to school.

Positive Tests - If anyone in your family tests positive, please notify the school ASAP so we can follow the protocols to keep everyone safe. This is critical. We cannot do our part to protect friends and neighbors if we don't have the testing information. Also, in cases of positive exposure, please inform school staff of your child's Covid-19 Vaccination status.

School Picture Day Coming Sep 14 and 15

Immunization Update for 7th Graders

For students entering 7th grade for school year 2021-2022, they will need to have the Meningococcal (MCV4) vaccine and a booster T-dap vaccine. A copy of their immunization will need to be provided to the Health Room by September 10, 2021, to start school in the fall. If student has appointment for immunizations, then please let health room know the appointment date via email. You can email the updated immunization records to teri.grossman@austinisd.org or fax them to 512-414-5434.
