Student Drop Off Update

Parents, please remember that the teacher parking lot is for teachers only. Parents should use the drive circle to drop off and pick up their students. Additionally, the admin parking lot is not for student drop off. To keep everyone safe we need compliance to these rules.

Vision/Hearing Screening

Notification of Vision/Hearing, Acanthosis Nigricans(diabetes) screening for all 7th graders

7th grade girls and 8th grade boys will have spinal screening

The screening will start the week October 4.

Important Points:

-If student wears glasses, please be sure your student brings their glasses.

-State mandated for PK, Kinder, 1st, 5th, and 7th graders

-School screening coordinated by the school nurse

-State law requires parents be informed that vison screening is not a substitute for an eye examination by eye care specialist

-School vision screening does not evaluate eye health and cannot uncover important vision problems or prescribe treatment. Detecting a problem with vision is crucial to the success of a student. 80 % of academic learning is visual

-You will receive a referral letter if your child fails the screening

-If you do not want your child tested for religious reasons an affidavit will need to be submitted to the health room

Girl's Basketball Tryouts

Girls’ 8th grade Basketball Tryouts will be starting on 9/28 at 6:30am-8, 9/30 6:30am-8, and 10/1 4pm-5:30. If anyone has any questions, they may contact Coach Guerra or Coach Fuhrman.

Girls’ 7th grade basketball tryouts start October 1st. You must attend at least two of the three tryout times. Those dates and times are October 1 6:30- 8am, October 8th 6:30-8am and 4:00-5:30pm. Notice, we are meeting in the morning and afternoon on October 8th. For additional information, please see Coach Brown in room 505 or Coach Avila in the gym.
All students need to have turned in a completed 21-22 physical in order to try out. Please use the google form to https://forms.gle/svbGvDmfZcd4K9pk9

Boy's Soccer Tryouts

Boys’ Soccer Tryouts will be on October 19, 21, and 22 from 4-5:30pm. You must have your physical turned in and all online forms completed before Oct. 19. This is for both 7th and 8th grade boys. Cheerleading News

The Bailey cheerleaders cheered their hearts out at the Wednesday night game against Gorzycki. Our boys did fall short, but spirits were high as it was a very close 8th grade game. We also had our first appearance of the Bailey bear! It was a very popular site to see, photographs and autographs were happening left and right! Be sure to watch our for his shenanigans that I’m sure will follow him.

Donate to Book Vending Machine

We have launched a Donors Choose project to fund a Book Vending Machine for our campus! We are building lifelong readers at our campus, and we would love to add a book vending machine to expand our literacy efforts and to communicate the importance of reading in life. What's more fun than being rewarded with a special token and getting to select a book from a vending machine?!
