Upcoming Student Holidays

Parents please be aware of the upcoming student holidays. Students will not attend school on:

April 1st or April 15th

Tardy Sweep

In order to support our students being in class to learn at the start of the bell each class period, we will begin tardy sweeps next week. This means any student who is outside of the classroom without a pass when the bell rings to start class will be serving a lunch detention. Please talk to your student about the importance of getting to class on time each day!

AISD Climate Survey

Dear Families,

Our district values your feedback! We are currently surveying Austin ISD families in order to gain insight into your perception of our school and district effectiveness. To ensure we continue to provide high-quality, rigorous learning experiences that meet the needs of our learners and prepare them for college and career, we need your feedback. We want to know what you think.

To administer these surveys, we have partnered with Panorama Education to conduct our 2022 Family Survey. Panorama safeguards your privacy, keeping your responses

confidential. The survey shouldn’t take more than a few minutes to complete and will be a valuable source of information for us as we work to make our schools and district as

good as they can be.

You may complete the survey online between March 21, 2022 and April 8, 2022 using a

computer, tablet, or smartphone by visiting the website

FCA - New time

FCA is moving to meeting every Friday morning. We meet in the small gym starting at 7:20am. We play a game, have a short devotional, and then have donuts.(Donations accepted)

8th Grade Celebration Information

8th Grade End of Year Trip - we are taking our students to celebrate finishing their middle school journey on a field trip to Shady Springs Party Barn. We will be leaving at 9am on May 20th and returning at 2pm. Students were given a handout and permission slips this week to take home to parents/guardians. If you did not receive it, please contact Mrs. Brown at lara.brown@austinisd.org. The cost of the trip is $30 and includes activities, lunch, and transportation.

Boys' Volleyball

Boy's volleyball will start meeting every Wednesday morning starting at 7:20am in the large gym. There is an opportunity to play in a round robin tournament hosted by Bedichek in May so we are trying to create a full team. All grades are welcome, contact Coach Brown or Coach Fuhrman for more information.
