Bailey Bear Fun Run - April 7th at 6:00 pm

The Bailey Bear Fun Run will take place on Thursday, April 7th from 6:00 - 7:00 pm. All students, families, and staff are welcome. Meet on the track for a run with friends. Refreshments will be available and prizes will be awarded. Come in running clothes and bring the whole family! See you there!

8th Grade - End of Year Celebration

8^th Grade End-of-Year Trip!

Our 8^th grade trip is a tradition at Bailey, and with the help of our PTA, we have scheduled a fun-filled day trip to Shady Springs Party Barn (shadyspringspartybarn.com) to celebrate the completion of middle school. There are many amenities at Shady Springs for the students to enjoy including: a swimming pool, horseshoes, sand volleyball, basketball court, playground, putt putt golf, a space to watch a movie and a field for sports. We will depart Bailey at 9:00am and return back at approximately 2:00pm. There will be several 8^th grade teachers joining us, and we welcome chaperones. All Chaperones MUST be background checked PRIOR to the field trip. NO chaperone will be allowed at the venue without one. Background checks are FREE, but could take up to 7-10 business days to process. To obtain one visit: www.austinpartners.org.

The AISD dress code applies for this event before and after swimming. Students will be asked to wear a shirt and/or shorts over their swimsuit if it is deemed inappropriate by school staff.

Students that receive a referral resulting in ISS or HSS within two weeks (no referrals after 5/6/22) of the trip will not be allowed to go. Any questions or concerns, contact baileybearspta@gmail.com.

Friendly Reminders:

❖ Students may bring ONE CLEAR BAG with a towel, sunscreen, change of clothes, phone, etc., but do so at their own risk. Bags can be checked at-will by a teacher or chaperone.

❖ Teachers and chaperones are not responsible for lost items.

❖ Remember to wear comfortable shoes and clothing for the outdoor activities and bus ride.

❖ Students may bring snacks but they must remain on the bus.

❖ Lunch will be provided (included in trip cost-see below)

❖ Water and snacks will be provided while at Shady Springs and for the bus ride home.

Payment Information:

Cost - $30– this includes transportation, admission, lunch, and snacks.

Registration forms and payment will be collected in the Big Gym @ 7:55am and during lunch on the following dates: March 24, 25, 31, April 1^st and May 5, 6, 12, & 13^th

All students that turn in their registration and full payment by April 15 will be entered to win a $10 Sonic gift card sponsored by the PTA. Two winners will be selected.

We are accepting donations for students that may need financial assistance to afford the trip. If you choose to donate, please indicate that on the registration form below. Any money left over after all costs have been paid will be used for other 8^th grade end-of-year activities. Thank you!

Austin ISD - Climate Survey - Ends April 8th

Immunizations for 7th Graders

Students need a booster Tdap within the last 5 years and Meningococcal (MCV4). If your student has received these vaccinations already, please provide proof to the health room. If your student needs the vaccinations, please send updated vaccination records upon completion. The records can be dropped off at school, faxed to 512-414-5434, or emailed to teri.grossman@austinisd.org.
