STAAR Testing Information
Dear Bailey Parents/Guardians,
We are beginning our 2022 STAAR (State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness) administrations testing window. 6th-8th graders are required to take the test. Below is the schedule for our official testing dates.
STAAR TESTING DATES:
May 5th - 8th Grade Science
May 6th - 8th Grade Social Studies
May 10th - 6th, 7th, 8th Grade Math
May 11th - 6th, 7th, 8th Grade Reading
May 12th - EOC (8th Grade) Algebra
Remember that the tests are timed; therefore, it is imperative that students be on time and at school on these dates.
• Please try not to schedule doctor’s appointments around these dates so students can be in attendance.
• Please remember that on these testing dates students are required to be monitored at all times until they finish the assessment. This being the case, we ask that you remember that campus will be closed to all parents and visitors to ensure proper monitoring of students.
• Since we will have students testing in all parts of the building, we will be a secure testing site. Please help us stress to our students that we need them to do their best on each test.

8th Grade End of the Year Party Information
Our 8th grade end of year field trip is a Bailey tradition! With the help of our PTA, we have scheduled a fun-filled day at Shady Springs Party Barn on Friday, May 20th. An information sheet went home with 8th graders during their science classes last week. The trip cost of $30 per person includes transportation, admission, lunch and snacks. Please see the attached links for more information and required permission slip. Payment can be made through school cash online or will be accepted in the cafeteria during lunch on Fridays in April and a few dates in May. Please refer to the handout for more information. All students who have paid and turned in permission slips before the end of April will be entered into a drawing for a $10 Sonic gift card, so don't delay! Coach Brown has printed copies available if needed. Any questions? baileybearspta@gmail.com
