The Principal's Note

Bailey Parents and Guardians,

Happy New year and welcome back! Our teachers were back on campus today going over data collected in December, and refining plans for the start of the spring semester. Classes start tomorrow, Tuesday, January 10th. Please be sure to have your child on the bus or dropped off on time. Our doors open at 7:55AM. They should also come prepared with appropriate supplies and their fully charged Chromebook.

Students should bring their ID badges. We continue to work with our students to get in the habit of bringing their ID badge to school every day. We are also encouraging students to store their ID Badge in their backpack at the end of every day so they know exactly where it is in the morning. We still need your help to make wearing our Bailey ID Badges a habit that we all get used to.

Tomorrow, we will start the day by having students go to their regular meeting spaces when they arrive to school. After that we will direct them to their regular advisory classroom to start the day. Once in their advisory class they will use their Chromebook to look up their schedule on the student portal. (Students can access their schedule tonight through the student portal if they wish. Please see picture below.) We will then make a PA announcement releasing students to their 1^st period classes. They can keep track of their schedule through their Chromebook.

We are excited to start the spring semester. As always, we appreciate your support as your partners in the education of your child. Here's hoping we all have a great start to the New Year!

Bailey Bear Booster Club Meeting

Bailey Bear Booster Club will meet on January 17th at Bailey at 5:30 pm. Please join us as we look at what will be needed to support the winter/spring sports and begin planning for the 23/24 school year.

Are you a 6th Grade parent? Join the booster club now! It's a great way to learn what playing sports is like at Bailey. For example, everything I needed to know about my son playing football, I learned through the parents I met at Booster Club!

Cheer Team Information

Cheer Club begins January 18th at 4:00pm-4:45pm in the small gym. Anyone who is interested should show up at that time. We will learn cheers, stunt skills, and the requirements to try out for cheer leader. All grades are welcome! Any questions speak to Mrs. Foster.

Cheerleading Tryout Update

Cheer Leader tryouts will be in April for 7th and 8th grades. Boys are encouraged to join the try outs. This coming year we will have three teams of cheer: competition, basketball, and football. A participant may choose one or all. Please watch the newsletter for dates for tryouts.

FCA meets every Friday morning at 7:20am in the small gym. See You At The Pole is September 26. Meet at the flag pole at 7:30am if you are interested in praying for our school.

Anime Club meets every Tuesday after school from 3:50 - 4:30 in Room 309. Contact Ms. Lozano if you are interested.

Girls Empowerment Club meets every Tuesday and Thursday from 3:50 - 5:30 in Room 202. Contact Ms. Andrews or Ms. Lashley if you are interested.
