Safety is, and will always be, my number one priority as principal. As a parent myself, I understand how difficult it can be to entrust someone with your kids and I do not take that job lightly. That being said, I wanted to update you as to the status of a having a full-time School Resource Officer (SRO) at Bailey Middle School. I have shared our concerns with AISD Police and, although they could not give me an exact date we would receive a full-time SRO, they have assured me we would have an increased police presence starting tomorrow. This will continue until we have a new officer on campus permanently. Also, we have hired a 2nd security guard, Mr. Connor Archer, who started on Tuesday. I hope this eases your mind a little and I will keep you updated as AISD PD works towards filling this vacancy. Take care and have a great evening.
