Dear Bailey Middle School Families,

I want to inform you that a fire alarm was triggered around 2 p.m. today. Thanks to the swift and orderly response of our staff and students, everyone was evacuated quickly and safely. Upon inspection, no smoke was detected, and our security camera footage revealed no unusual activity in the area around the time of the alarm.

As a precaution, we requested that the Austin Fire Department assess the situation. Their investigation, which included the use of heat-detecting equipment, confirmed that there was no fire or immediate danger.

Ensuring the safety of our students and staff remains my highest priority. I am committed to keeping our community informed with transparency regarding such incidents. I would like to commend our students for their calm and efficient handling of the situation today.
