I am excited to be part of the Bailey Middle School community! I have worked in education for the past 29 years, serving as a teacher, elementary school counselor, and middle school counselor. I began my educational career as a middle school teacher in San Antonio and have since continued my journey in education throughout Central Texas.

I earned my Bachelor’s Degree from St. Mary’s University in San Antonio and my Master’s Degree from Texas A&M University–Kingsville. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working with students and families in many different roles, and I am passionate about supporting students as they navigate the academic, social, and emotional challenges that can come with middle school.

As a counselor, my goal is to help each student feel supported, valued, and empowered to reach their full potential. I hope to provide students with strategies, guidance, and resources tailored to their individual needs while helping them develop the skills they need for future success and possibilities.

Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I am the proud parent of two children—my daughter, who is in college, and my son, who is a senior in high school. Our family also includes three beloved dogs: Lovie, our Chihuahua; Cleo, our Chihuahua/Jack Russell mix; and Juno, our Boxer mix.

I look forward to getting to know the Bailey Middle School students, families, and staff and am grateful for the opportunity to support our students during this important stage of their lives. Bio

I'm passionate about helping students discover their strengths, overcome challenges, and build the confidence to reach their goals. Whether I'm simply providing a safe place to talk or helping a student navigate friendships and schoolwork, I strive to create an environment where every student feels seen, supported, and valued.

As a lifelong learner, I believe that curiosity is one of life's greatest gifts and that every person's story matters. When I'm not at school, you'll likely find me traveling, hiking with my dog, getting lost in a good bookstore, or planning my next adventure. I hope to inspire my students to approach life with that same sense of curiosity, courage, and openness, embracing new opportunities and never stopping their own journey of learning.

P.S. Why don't school counselors ever get lost? Because we're really good at helping students find themselves.
